Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut

Subject: Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut Sun Nov 14, 2010 5:20 am

ok just to start off, i think everyone knows who sonic is :3

DX is a port of Sonic adventure on Gamecube and PC with updated graphics (although theyre still a bit ugly -.-)
other than the graphics the game is awesome
so lets talk about the story a little,

The Story is actually pretty good, you got your bad guys, good guys, random guys
You can play the story from 6 different perspectives, as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Big the Cat, E102 and Amy Rose (and then if you beat the story as all 6 you play as Super Sonic) each character has his own view on the story for example, Knuckles was tricked by Eggman (again) and the Master Emerald was stolen too so he has to find out what happened,

Mkay my favourite part now

Music
What can i say? Yet another Title song for sonic by Crush 40 called "Open Your Heart" i remember i used to replay the intro just to listen to it lol, you also hear it when fighting the last boss as super sonic (oh and the song is included in the game folder if you have the PC version :3) also every area in the game has a fitting ambient music thingie...(by areas i mean the city, jungle and spaceship)

Graphics
Are my least favourite thing about this game, they are good but....nah just dont like them much

Other
hmmm maybe lets talk about the characters
Each character not only has his own plot but ofcourse their own special abilities and collectible items (E.g. cat can get different fishing rods to catch froggy.)
Special abilities:
Sonic : Fast, can have an item that lets him follow ring trails (i think its shoes...lol)
Tails: can fly DUH
Knuckles: Can kind of float in the air and dig underground
Big: Can fish for fishies -.-
Amy: Has a hammer omg O_O
E102: Has a gun :3 can shoot down all the enemies and also can fly with its jet/booster pack thingie

Overall its an awesome game even tho its boring sometimes and has "funny" Graphics Razz

well the graphics are good sometimes (i love the CGI cutscenes) but they are kinda ugly to me most the time -.-

This game looks pretty good. I probably wouldn't mind playing it if I still had my game cube. Nice detailed review on all the characters abilities though. But it does look like a good game graphically.

Graphics mean nothing if the game play is good. A lot of the younger audience thinks graphics are the best bet when it comes to a good game which is really not true.

Is this game one player game only or is it two players, most adventure games that are out today are mainly one player games.

Yeah in the last chapter youre super sonic and you have to beat final chaos (or what i call him Chaos 7 :3)

Well in the old school sonic games the rings were mainly used as life. If you got hit, you would lose all your rings. Think of them being as health rings and if you got hit by and enemy while not having ANY rings, you would just die.

I don't know. They probably should have had you collect hearts like Castlevania, except these hearts gave you health pickups instead of magic pick ups. But Sonic DX sort of reminds me of Klonoa on the PS1. They look so similar in style.
